hi all
i have a tj magna 2000 20th anniversary edition and well about a month ago the keyless entry stoped working altogether. it was kinda gradual as well like it would work sometimes but not others but one day it just stoped. so i thought that it was the battery in the remote so i got that replaced and well it still did not work so i tryed to reprogram it in to the ob comp and still no luck. here is a pic of my work in progress

could the sensor on the remote or car be dead?

could just be that the battery is dead on the remote. I had this problem when i first brought the car i replaced the battery reprogramed it and bam it works a treat now. If a new battery doesnt fix it try getting a new one off ebay for around 45 delievered it should do the trick as well.

Has been covered many times before, but since you're new you are forgiven. The search button is your new best friend.

yea i have had the battery replaced and still no luck and i did do a search but i did not find anything particularly helpful that i had not already tried. thus the question.
and i have tried two separate remotes both with new batteries and i have tried to reprogram them both in but with no luck. could the sensor in the car be dead? also have checked fuses and they were all fine.

Get a new remote. The battery holder brakes away from the circuit board inside the remote. If you open it up you will see the break. Probably the most common problem with magnas.
