Hmmm... I dunno about that mate.. I cant see how it would be very good for it, untuned and all.. also it my do some damnage to the valve guides?
I know E10 leans out your mixtures slightly... so be carful!

its not recommended to have more than 10% in any car.
some ppl will say ethonol fuel is the devil, some will say it burns off with no deposits.
i dont know enough about it to give advice
all i know is i used to run my old tr on it for years and it loved it.

ethanol at mixes up to 15-20% is fine for cars, and being a polar molecule, picks up deposits through the fuel system, did a large study on it for newcastle uni last year.
Anymore than 20 though, there are you're problems. :doubt:

I wouldn't run more than 10% - its compatible with all fuel systems, 15% has a tendancy to wreck the rubber in carburettors - more than that - not so good. Tuning gets messed around with.
I run E10 for the simple reason I can get a 95 RON fuel for 2.5c less than 92, and 13c less than 95 unleaded.

i ran the 98ron from United all the time
then i got a carby vitara and it killed the carby, well didnt kill it but it needed to be recoed, strange considering it was fine before i started using the united 98 (10% ethanol)
in all normal new modern cars though it dosent hurt things at all, i even used it in the magna when it was supercharged every now and again
i find though on the united 98 ron i get a few km less than on ultimate but can pick the difference in power lol like anyone could.... although the engine seems to run smoother on the ethanol... again no proof... proably just in my head

Was that a 2.6L model?

i really like the freedom fuel (in qld) e10 95, my v6 ts seems to really like it, better than regular unleaded and its cheaper, although id say thats cos its a higher octane and not much to do with ethanol

Ethanol in fuel is the work of Satan.
Really?
So he want us to save our planet and to make petrol reserves last longer?

Me too and both my Magnas love it (It's probably the extra octanes)
With my TR Wagon (2.6L) you can feel the difference in performance when running E10 compared to the standard UL fuel.
In my TL I can't see much of a difference.

Thats because the 2nd Gens have knock sensors hence it can take advantage of the higher 95 octane E10
The 3rd Gens don't have knock sensors so the advantages are minimal, tho in the TL owner's manual, it does say you "can use" E10 ULD
I had ran United E10 95 in my TF with no issues, but I haven't used it in my TL yet.

that's strange, what do you normally use?
Have you tried using other 95 octane fuel?

i use the normal 91
I've tried using the E10 twice but the car dosen't like it.
edit:
95 fuel is like vortex or not sure what the shell one is. But the E10 from caltex or mobile dosen't work well with my car I don't know why. Might try again see what happens.

Been running off United Plus for years in all my cars - cheaper, better performance, cleaner burning. My 1990 TP Magna has been running with it as soon as United released it (at the time was 4c/l cheaper!) and I find a really noticeable difference compared to normal 95 octane unleaded.
I also run it in my Toyota Aurion, the family Honda Oddyssey, Kia Rio and Subaru forester - not a single one of these cars has seen any disadvantage from using it. The oxygen sensor and spark plugs don't require replacement as often any more either, which is definitely a sign that it burns a bit cleaner. The Magna had oxy sensors and plugs being replaced yearly as they would totally fail or get carboned up, which stopped happening as often when I started using E10.
You will find that almost every modern car is designed to be compatible with E10 fuel at least. On my Aurion, it even indicates directly inside the petrol flap that it is designed to support E10, so I would assume many other manufacturers would do the same.
