yesterday unfortunately on the way to work i my magna, i locked up the wheels going around a corner in the wet, was only doing 35 - 40 relaxed driving not trying to tokyo drift or anything stupid like that, doing a right hand turn steering wheel right lock but car just slid straight in the wet, put the front left corner into the gutter on the other side of the road, bent the front bar and front left quarter, pushed the chassis in so that it was pushing against my alternator belt, broke my radiator so now it doesn't hold water, also hit the rim so not sure if there is any suspension damage, n im waiting to get it towed to see how much other damage there is.

will let you know what the final verdict is when i get it too my mechanics, but just a reminder for everyone if your tyres are starting to get bald, change them, thats why my dad said i slid, my spare tyre didn't grip.

That sucks mate!
Hopefully not too much damage when you get it checked out.
What are the chinese symbols on the bonnet? They look mad (JDM style!)

Damn sorry dude... looks pretty major to bend the chassis like that... big job.
might be better to just get another shell and change everything over, if you can be bothered. it will never be perfect:doubt:

That's bad luck mate. Hope it straightens out OK
Wet weather can be a real trap as cars are so powerful these days (even 10 year old Magnas). I saw a Falcon come round a suburban corner in the rain once. He was doing normal traffic speed but the back just swung out and he drifted right into the path of a truck in the next lane and got his doors creased. You could see the look on the driver's face - he just couldn't believe it.
Neither could I.
Anyway, hope it come good mate.

man thats gotta suck. good luck with it anyways, hope it didnt cause to much damage to your car or your wallet.
**** dude. Sorry to hear it.
One good thing comes out of it though, you won't do it again. I smashed my dads car back in november in the wet, and now when im taking corners in the wet i drive like an absolute grandma. It doesn't take much, especially with little/no tread.

I think Legionair can vouch for baldish tyres causing havoc.
I had a similar thing happen to a mate in an 04 CH Lancer. didnt get buckling like inside your engine bay but was pretty bad, cost him about $1500 to get fixed.
Are you going to get it repaired?

Sorry to hear about that. Hope you can get it sorted for not too much cash. I had a bit of a front wheel drift in bankstown today, luckly it gripped in time. Bad weather

fully repaired cost $5000 - $6000 due to chassis work re: taking engine out, bending it back into shape, refitting engine
so its going to the wreckers
