Hi all, I need help(stop nodding) with getting rotors for my little baby. I'm wanting to get all four replaced so I've had a look on ebay, trading post ect to see what the cost should be. But I dunno whats a good price and whats a rip off.

Has anyone recently bought new rotors tell me how much I should be looking at forking out?

I've still got life left in the lads so I'm thinking next time I get pads on I'll hand the mechanic the rotors instead of him telling me my rotors are frogged.

When I replaced the rotors on my KR, with DBA equivalents, the fronts were about $140, and the rears about $110. Since the 3rd gens use the same rotors, I can't see them being too much more expensive. They'll probably be even cheaper :D

Seen RDA ones for under $100 on ebay, I'll drop into Brakes Plus tomorrow and talk to the man about it.

I bought slotted RDA's for $77ea. So standard rotors should be a tad cheaper.

Local brake supplier in Ballarat here (Mr. Brakes).

I was quoted basically the same price from a mob in Melbourne too, though i would've had to pay for postage on top of the RRP, so i bought locally instead. I think the mob was RaceBrakes.

Spoke to Race Brakes today and they sell Ventilated Rotors for $50 each. I asked about slotted but the guy said they look great but warp quite easily as they are weakened by the slots. He has em on his Falcon and would not recomend them. The pads started making a bit of noise so it looks like a total of about $260 for rotors, pads and fitting.

i had mine done recently, brakes and rotors, that sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Not exactly the case...
I've given my brakes absolute hell! Never had to machine my slotted rotors once in their lifetime. As long as you dont use cheap pads and bed them in propperly, they're great!

Cross drilled rotors are then ones that will tend to warp easier.

yeah ive sold zillions of slotted rotors and never had an issue, cross drilled we tend to find that they crack between the holes under high stress. Ive currently got dba4000's and ive given them a flogging and they are still go like there brand new :P
