I need help, even though the headunit isnt in my magna

the sony xplode CDX m8800 in my car atm doesnt work, i cant turn it on, or flip the face. However while i was driving today i press the on button it opened and was playing. however i still cannot eject or see the LCD screen(Blank)..the remote does work. After turning it on and off for about 3-4 times it stopped to work again.

would this likely to be my headunits prob or connection prob? i just bought the car so got no idea how to go about it.

Might be bad connectors on the face. Take it out and give them a clean. I remember I had a similar problem and dirty connectors was the cause.
