Hey guys, i picked up and installed a set of leather interiors for my car... 3rd time lucky.

The first set i bought were in bad condition
The second set i got were genuine which didn't seem to fit on my genuine seats
and finally, the third set i picked up by pure luck.

I went with Lugo the the car wash the other day, as we were chamoising my car another guy came up to me asking if i wanted to buy his leather interiors seats/door trims. i figured it was worth a look, went past today with Lugo and liked what i saw and i bought it off him!

here's a few pics.

Sick mate, photos don't do it justice though, so I think everyone should be at tomorrows northern meet to have a look :P

Btw, thanks to M4DDOG for telling us how to get the back seat off haha, now you know what we were doing lol

That looks sensational! Good work. (ditch the Mitsu seatbelt pad thingies though... They kind of ruin the whole prestigious effect of real cow :D )

ok i'll hafta say it then...

brown = eeeew god who made that colour out of leather?!!

brown leather in a silver car = so much worse

grey or black for that car wouldve looked so much better! no wonder that guy was trying to palm it off!

I wouldn't call them brown, its more a dark beige. Factory seats in a KH Xi.

i would more suggest... cappacino / latte in colour!

only reason i mention, is i went and made said `cino and noticed the colour looked somewhat similar to the leather there. lol

that and the car is a lighter colour... so it does kinda look a *bit* like a coffee on wheels!
(or is it just me?)

brown/dark beige, meh! still introducing a colour thats not already in the car. so we have silver/black/grey/brown... not the best combination! grey factory seats wouldve suited heaps better

looks great man, i like it. Although the colour doesnt match perfectly i still think it looks awesome, and at least its better than not having leather seats lol

Lucky you, ive been looking very long and hard to get leather seats for mine

How much did you pay out of interest???

By the way I quite like the colour of the leather, was quite suprised when I saw it, never seen them in that colour before. Looks different, and good IMHO.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, as for probably the one person that doesn't like it (not to name names) :P Each to their own.

i paid $700 for the set which was pretty cheap i must admit, it's all i had and it was all i was gonna spend had the 'genuine seat covers' fit into my car.

I got them off mrnizmo, top bloke and he says he may have a few other items for sale so yeah, great guy to deal with and i highly recommend buying off him if he starts to sell anything else.

There is another type of fine you can get for having a P plate in the window these days lol

Looks good mate, I've always wondered what this colour leather seats would look like in a car with the grey interior (like I've got), doesn't look too bad at all! They look in pretty good nick too.

Keep an eye out for a wrecked Verada and grab the beige trimmings and I think it will look alot better.....

We looked at that before they went in, as far as I could tell omar would need the beige carpet and parcel shelf, and would need to get both the top and bottom sections of the dash sprayed to match, already got the door cards. Thats what I could see, he'd probably be able to tell you better.

edit* Stealing a pic of righty's, thats what you'd have to do to the dash to do a full KH Xi interior conversion:

My thinking as well. I would love to put leather in my car (and FlyingAce, yours looks awesome, love that light colour), but the heat and humidity have turned me off it. Still, it does look really nice.

I bought those off the guy for $245, went to get them fitted by a guy that lives down the road and apparently they didn't fit in my car.

EDIT: He charged me $300 for the install... i guess once he got them he figured the job was too hard and told me that they dont physically fit. I got fed up and took them back to the guy i bought them off before i did something stupid like shred them haha :P

as above, get matching door cards, and maybe the centre console :)

also, consider the clear door courtesy lights, smarten up the inside a lil :)
