Simple question the 92 KR verada xi I bought didn't come with any keyless entry remotes, did that model have keyless entry or is it to early?

Don't know for certain, but I thought the KR Xi would have, seem to recall something about an infra-red remote rather than RF?

TR Elites and KR Xi had remote central locking. To tell if you have it there should be a small round plastic circle underneath the driver side key hole. You'll see it if its there.

Am new to here as well 1st post although have been reading the good info for a while.
My KR Verada didnt have remote entry but they do have key activation. Do all your doors unlock together with your key? If so you can fit up remote central locking by using any alarm that has remote outputs. The lock relay is behind the drivers kickplate under the fuse box.

XI had an infra red system, you had to use it within a few feet of the handle.

You can fit aftermarket ketless but you have to use a different system as the standard ones will only blow fuses.

Wire it up like a shunt style system and all good

Infrared? different, yeah it does centrally lock with the key in the lock. Have wired up 2 of those aftermarket sets before on other cars, I'll consider one of those. However if I wanted to keep it original can these infrared things be purchased from mitsubishi/programmed for the car?
