my lifters are playing up in my car. so i have decided to do something about it next oil change.
Now i am very hesistant to put in oil flush into my car (TJ with 120 KM) as i am scared that it could start an oil leak from taking the natural protection coat off from the inside (meaning the **** that has build up over the years:bowrofl: )
also that lifter free/ worn engine treatment? is that worth adding before or after the change?
anyone that has done a flush, have they developed leaks???
i don't think my car has ever had one

i use the nulon oil flush every change in every car and bike ive owned and never ever had a problem with it destroying/damaging the motor as for the worn engine/lifter treatment they are really a hit or miss affair works for some doesnt for others, if your looking at engine treatments go the moreys that stuff is awesome, used it in the gearbox of the skyline i used to have ages ago to stop it hard shifting

I think these things are pretty much snake oil.
There are millions apon millions of cars which are just fine without using them. They are adding extra protection (if you believe they work) to what is already very well protected by the regular oil.
Also, with changing oil every 6,000km like most people do, you dont get the chance to build up coking or sludge like a neglected engine will.
Maybe do it once when you get the car but as for every second oil change its WOFTAM in my opinion.

Kerosene, Diesel, Engine oil flush (eg. Nulon), all have similar effects, just don't over do it.

Yeah i also use nulon oil flush before i dump the oil on all my cars.
Have found over time that it keeps your new oil cleaner longer. I chance my oil every 7500(minor intervals) on all my radas and the oil is still fairly clean at that stage.
Not a huge fan of additives that stay with the oil until the next service, so this is why i use the oil flush which you add to your old oil before you dump it all out and then add your new oil on its own.

should be fine as long as you drain the oil straight away and change the filter
