I had some issues with a new HU install and went into fix them. Accidently blew a fuse, replaced it. Now there is no power going to that fuse (so no HU power at all), and my digital odometer etc. is blank.
Basically there is no power at the accessories point on ignition.
Any ideas?

It sounds like you may have damaged something further down the line. Are there any other blown fuses?

Not that i'm aware of, all the drivers side fuses are intact, and all of the under bonnet fuses are fine.

At accessories there is nothing. At the next point before ignition all warning lights etc. come on car runs fine headlights, indicators, brake lights, wipers all run fine, just no odometer display and now HU power

try replacing the stereo unit (has a little music symbol on the fusebox cover) and the dash lights (has a pic of a tacho) with the same amperage units and see if that fixes it, if it doesnt it will be electrican time

Cheers everyone for your help. It was a fuse (yeah im a loser) told you i was rubbish when it comes to fuses. The head unit lost ground connection which was what my original problem was. The my fat fingers did the rest of the damage.
Once again thanks for everyones help. Being a fresh forum member it's reassuring that i can come here for assistance + entertainment.
Anyway now my TL is in fine shape my HU is tops, new front and rear speakers and a amp+ sub to come in the near future.
Cheers

Dont worry man.
I once left the car in L while fiddling with the stereo. Went to start it and NOTHING!
Came on the forums and i was like OMG WHY WONT MY CAR START.
Went back in to the car, put it in P and it was fine.
We all suffer these moments

lol I've done that too, just got through saying how good the car had been lately, then went out to start it up and nothing happened, I was like ****! Felt so stupid when I realised what I'd done. lol
The best bit though about having a problem as a result of you leaving something in the wrong position or not connecting something up is its rarely going to cost you big $$$, just the time taken in retracing your steps.

Haha, I'm well fresh to modding cars myself so the amount of stupid (luckily cost free) mishaps I've had is scary. But I'm having fun so far and the worst I've done is a blown fuse that i couldn't find so i think I'll continue trying to work it out for myself, at least till the first major stuff up.
Next on the agenda is wiring up an amp and sub.

**Pulls out shovel to dig up thread**
Was there any outcome to this because my car is having almost the exact same problem.
Was repairing some wiring behind HU, blew the "music" fuse, replaced it and then all of a sudden a few days later all my dash lights, my radio and my trip computer lose power. Warning lights still function and everything else works fine, checked relevant fuses and radio fuse was blown but after replacing it nothing happened.
EDIT: Wow, i guess Im a fool for not even seeing that this was a 2 page thread, neva mind guys.

Found out i still have power to the head unit, because i can eject CDs and the arial goes up when i do it. It just isnt telling the head unit, dash lights, clock etc. to turn on when i start the car or put it into acc.
