Hey guys, took the old TS Wagon out for a spin (just to give her a shake-up since it's been awhile since she did anything other than sit in the shed).

Oil was a bit low so stuck some more in.
Other than that she started fine.
Bit of tap tap noise at startup then she went nice & quiet.
Let it idle for awhile - no problems.

Took her for a drive (approx 5mins) to drop my son off at a mates house.
Left her idling, but she stalled.
Restarted her up (fired first go - no problems).
But on the way home I noticed that the Oil Warning Lamp on the dash would come on when the car was just idling, then go off when driving (or if I tapped the accelerator).

From a quick search, Oil Pump or a blockage could be the problem.
Any ideas?

In the end, she'll go to a mechanic anyway, got some other stuff that's gotta be done too.
But I was just wondering what this could be.

I spose first step would be to check the oil filter.

How low is the idle speed? If its too low, the oil pressure light will illuminate.

this can happen when you have bad oil as well.

I would recommend a Wynns flush and then a good service with Penite HPR15 and filter

If you want to drop over, I can hook up an oil pressure guage for you so we can see if it is infact oil pressure and not a faulty switch.
