To anyone who knows or anyone with a Ralliart with the stock Eclipse head unit.

Has anyone connected an MP3 player/iPod to it?
If so how?

I read in one Ralliart article (which may be suss) that the Eclipse head unit is supposed to have the ability to connect an MP3 player somewhere/somehow.

I cannot see any type of connection hole/socket anywhere on the head unit.
I cannot see anything obvious in the manual.

The head unit has an 'E-COM' button on it.
I've looked in the manual but it doesn't seem to say what this button is for. The manual says to press the E-COM button 1 second. (which doesn't seem to do anything anyway except mute the unit (button is used for both E-COM & Mute).

When you select the 'Source' button it goes through... Tuner, CD and 'AUX Mode'.
I've looked in the manual but it doesn't seem to say anything about the AUX Mode.

I have one, but no manual for it. Wouldn't the aux be through one of the rca's in he back?

yeah, im pretty sure the connection is thru the back of the head unit (think i remember seeing the holes in the back of mine when i had it removed)..

There is also some type of input thing that ya can see when you tilt the face of the HU itself.. but i doubt that would be where you would plug anything into it coz its a funny lookin plug..

Yeah I've done it. It's easy as. I brought a unit for $25 in Japan that plugs into the aux plugs in the back of the unit and also into the cig lighter to charge it.
To find the aux plugs is easy, especially if you already have a sub hooked up as there are only two sets of plugs at the back of the head unit. 1 for sub and 1 for aux.

If you wanna know how to get to the head unit in full try this link, it's good.
