Well, hi all, this is my first post, been browsing audio section for a while, but this is the first time ive been really confused and needed help :)

Car is 96 TS/TR(not sure which) 2.6l Fuel injected 4.

Was driving at 80 on freeway(yes im a learner ) and engine warning light came on, stayed on for maybe 30 secs, then went off, no noticeable noises or changes in cars performance... 4/5 days earlier the car cut out twice while idling, and its tends to stutter a bit usually while idling, anyone got any suggestions? i'm not much good with cars, especially ECU controlled fuel injected engines so would appreciate simple-ish replies...thanks in advance :D

Edit : Good first impression :) posted in the wrong section, my bad, have reposted in 2nd gen so can someone delete this thread?

Hey dude you're in the 3gen forum! Anyway, there is a way to bridge out the diagnostic connector on the ECU, and the warning light will flash a code, I used to do it on my old TR all the time  . I'm sure someone in the 2gen section ca help you out, Unfortunately I gave my workshop manual away with my old car so I can't help you. Sorry!

EDIT: My TR had the same thing happen, on for 30ish secs, no change in note or performance. Think it was a temp sensor, or oxygen sensor. But better check it out properly!
