Welcome to the forums mate! 8)

The model number for a TR/TS K&N Panel Filter is KN33-2045

I got mine @ Autobarn - makes a very slight improvement in low end torque.

yeh, KN33-2045 is the one for our beasts, at least the 2.6's anyway :P

I went price hunting the other day, most places have em for around 150, but autobarn had em for 123, but the dude said he could do it for me for 119 cos I saw em for that price a while ago. All i need is some money :(

don't know if the 100 over bucks is worthwhile for better throttle response... Some more, another 30 bucks need to be spent on getting the cleaner and oil... :? or should i save up and get alloys instead... but that would take a bloody long time

yxy876, from personal experience, you will only notice a difference in a change of air filters if your stock cardboard filter is extremly dirty. It's a good first mod for those who don't like to delve into tinkering around wif extractors n stuff. I got my K&N filter + recharger for a total of $157. If you're after a little performance boost, switch to optimax.

The filter comes pre-oiled in the box, so you don't need to buy the recharger kit straight away. These filters are originally white, it's the oil that makes them red/maroon.

This depends on if you aren't happy with your stock wheels. They get you from 'a' to 'b' right? Mayhaps if you need a set of 4 new tyres then yeah, go out and get yourself a rim n rubber package (get somthing over 15" :D ) or if you can find 'em, the 16" TJ Sports / VRX series 1 mags fit TR/TS very well indeed.

This all depends on your budget of course.

if you plan on spending $150 you might as well spend the extra 50 and get the pod instead of the panel. performane auto thru trevor sells them for $200. and with a CAI the pod would give better performance than the panel im assuming.

It's not really about 'better performace'. A pod and a panel both have thier advantages and disadvantages. Pods are designed for high end, panels for low end. Depends on your preference. You can also CAI a panel

I'm not going to start a pod/panel war....and besides, that isn't what this thread is about. Want to find out more on pods/panels?

hehe, only problem with the search function is that nearly every post/topic has got SOME kind of reference to these items, so your better off going through the topics manually :P
