hey guys, so ive taken out the cd player with thanks to MitchellO, but when putting back the plastic center console bits the bottom level where the ash/penny tray is doesn't fit in well comes off to easily. if i leave the middle level off (where the 2 dins are and the controls for aircon and such) the bottom level (ash/penny tray level) fits perfectly fine, im confused anyone have any ideas?

finding it quite hard to understand what you are talking about here.
you mean the center console running between the front seats?
if so - sounds like something isnt lined up correctly in the dash console thing.
try to take that off again and put it back in correctly and see if that makes any difference.

Sounds like one of 3 things:
- Youve broken/lost the metal clips on the back of the ashtray bit
- Your console (the bottom bit that surround the gear lever) is not in correctly
- You arent putting the top section (the cage itself or the fascia) in properly.
Take it all apart and try again, its only a 5 minute job anyway. Dont forget the hazard light switch lol

If you got all the clips and there are no obstructions, perhaps they just need a good thump. When refitting my HVAC surround, the bottom clip closest to the glove box needs a bit of force to clip in stay otherwise it just pops back out.
