Hi wondering if anyone can help

I want to somehow hardwire my ipod to my pioneer DEH P2550 car cd player which doesn't have auxillary or RCA (I read that it has RCA preouts but i don't know wat that is). Although i think it has the CD changer ports. How could i do this to get power to my ipod aswell.

Any replies would be appreciated

Man the 2550 is ancient, I've got a 2750 in my car atm, and even thats old, and getting replaced. Theres no way to wire the ipod into the headunit on such an old model, you need to update to one with an aux jack, or ipod support, if you want to fork out the money for say a 5950 if you like Pioneers (around $300).

Otherwise, get a FM Transmitter, and use that. Thats all you can do really.

And for the record, RCA Pre-outs are the RCA outs from the headunit to an amplifer, in your headunits case to either an amp for the front speakers, rear speakers or subwoofer. Pre-outs can't be used as inputs.

Hope I've helped mate :)

you can buy an ipod adaptor for your unit, it plus into the p-bus port (cd stacker part) they retail around $199

also pioneer has gone back to 1050, 2050, 3050 etc for 2008 just to confuse everyone

What you need is a PAC iPod adapter: click me for more info (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39590&page=8)
