Installed a Type S 12" and V Power Mono amp in the TJ yesterday. Bloody loud, whole system sounds good now i can turn the HPF on for the front stage, clears up heaps of grunt for more volume!
I've got the amp bolted to the side of the sub box, and I'm going to bolt an aerpro capacitor to the other side of it next pay (lol), as well as tiding up wiring using some terminal blocks.

That brings my system to:
Pioneer DEH-P7850BT head unit
Clarion APX2120 60W RMS 2ch front stage amp
Alpine SPS-171A Type S Splits
Alpine MRP-M450 Monoblock Amp
Alpine SWS-1242D Type S Sub
...and stock 6x9s in the back!
All up the system has cost me round $1300, and it goes alright for a budget setup.

Like I said flash is ghey but meh you get the general idea. I'm attaching everything to the sub box so its all one easily removable unit in case i need extra boot space *cough* eskys *cough*

Yeah bass brings out the homie in me! I actually have the sub setting on the HU turned down a fair bit coz I listen mostly to rock/metal, and double kicks drown out everything else otherwise! But the gf was stuffin around today listen to her dance stuff, so I cranked it right up and the neighbours across the road came out to "see what that racket was" oops...

nice
oh and you dont need a capacitor
if your worried about the power then just get thicker power wire aswell as grounds
