Hi all,

Did a search & didn't find much on this topic.

My power steering pump is leaking, on a TF, 3.0L V6.
Does anyone know whether you can get a kit to overhaul the seals etc... yourself?

Any help appreciated.

I've never heard of anyone overhauling a steering pump... Much less the availability of a seal kit.

How about a second hand pump? I picked up a Ralliart pump from the wreckers for $60, so I can't see one being tooo exxy.

yeah you can get kits to overhaul them or send them to APS and they will do it for you, but by the time you send it down there + overhaul then back works out cheaper to grab one from another magna wreck

I'll be looking at changing mine over soon as it's leaking like a bitch, so any body know where there wrecking a couple of Ralliarts.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I've been burned from buying from the wreckers on items like this.

So, is there much involved in doing the overhaul yourself. I'm tempted to go this way, as then I know it won't leak again for a fair while.

Do you need special tools?
I am fairly confident mechanically, and have fixed brake pads, discs, master cyclider, headgasket, water pump, radiator on the old EF ford.

Does the kit come with instructions?

Sorry for the barrage of questions.
Cheers
