howdy people, ive done searches and cant find if anyone has done this before...
i just rang local auto electrician and got quoted $188 to supply and fit keyless to my car which has keyed central locking..
Im assuming that he wont be changing actuators for that price and just installing the relay computer to the locking system?
Has anyone installed the relay computer and NOT done all the actuators at the same time?
If anyone has is it easy done? Looking to save myself some labour costs, i heard its only a few little wires that need to be run...

yeah ive read that, i dont wanna bugger around putting new locks and wires in, just wanna hook up a relay computer that receives the signal from the remote and triggers the central lock to open..
has anyone hooked one in before? ive heard its really simple..

I'm looking at doing it; the alarm/control that I'm looking at only costs around $40. Think I might even disconnect the alarm side of it, might just give it a go first and see how it goes. Don't wanna have to disarm the thing everytime a possum farts though...

take off the drivers side kick panel (under the fuses) and you will see a small black box with a bunch of wires going into it, that controls the central locking. get a multimeter and start poking.

Got keyless installed today, if you can unlock ALL the doors from the passenger using the key you can just get the relay installed and not worry about installing all the actuators, the kit i used was $99 and included 2 remotes, all the wires and the relay computer, auto electrician installed it for only $88 bucks, well worth it if you want keyless...
