hey i have a stock ralliart eclipse deck, i want to start to do a few things to the sound system. the only thing is i have heard that these decks have a unique code/cd which u have to put in which makes them really hard to steal. i dont know my code tho? how would i go about finding this out?

Well, when I disconnected my battery once and my radio needed the security code, I went to my Mitsu dealer, gave them some details, and they had it stored in their computer database.

give mitsu service dept the vin num and they can give u the code

thanks for the feed back! i will have to because the only manuals i got when buying the car are the service and warranty books! this does have a thing called option code but i have no idea if this is it? ill give mitsi's a call!
the other question is i just had a look on the eclipse website and this unit has a remote control which i dont have!
did the ralliarts come with a remote?? would i be able to buy one?

I have the Eclipse unit out of a Ralliart, I have disconnected my battery a couple of times and have never had to enter a security code. I didn't think they had one.

The security code is actually a CD (any CD) that you decide to use as the "code" and only required if set previously (ie. it's not factory set, as the Eclipse was virtuallly an "aftermarket" system only fitted to Ralliart). So if it works ok, that means there's no code/CD to worry about.

There should be a small remote control as well.

i endnd up finding the manual on the eclipse website and yeah it is a cd that you use they call it a "key cd" to set it off, the only prob is that when i bought it, it was a ex lease car so i dont know if this "key cd" has all ready been done! i doubt it has but i have never had the battery disconected so iam not sure! cos i dont have this "key cd" the manual says you have 5 tries to put in the "key cd" and after the fifth if its not right it jams up and then you have to send it back to eclipse and they can reset it after finding out ur car details!
so gess i just have to just try and hope it hasnt been done!
