As the title states this is my wifes new dash picked it up yesterday form Gosford for $200 + old interior and the painter even fitted aswell.
The painter was a really nice bloke who works out of his shed but is starting his own business.He also told us to send down any other parts we wanted painted and he would paint them for free for us so we sent down the rear door handles and the electric door switches.

saw it was for a girls car, and still hated it...

way too busy, doesnt really look like anything, and as far as i can see, the rest of the interior looks stock, and is all dark colours.

WOW....never thought I'd see that on an AMC car....saw it on eBay and thought it was horrid, and no offence, but it looks no better in the car. As long as your missus likes it I guess lol

i dont go much on consoles and stuff when people paint in the cup holders and coin trays and the ash tray face etc.. makes it look way cheaper and more tacky-er, they should be left the normal dark grey and just paint the surrounds..

also, doing the steering column is taking it a bit too far lol..

if i was doin it id only do the essentials (not the ash tray face, not the insides of the cup holders etc) so as it looks like it was meant to be and not an after thought.. and i wouldnt do it pink :bowrofl:

Just did the same myself in the 2nd gen. All the same except the steering wheel column. Sprayed it all myself tho, turned out alrite. But that looks mint.

Not keen on the design/colours (lol), but turned out good!

It does look OK in person, photos dont really do it justice, and shes female so as long as its pink then they will love it anyway.

He does them for other cars if you pop over tomorrow arvo after 6 we have pics of some of his other work aswell.

May not be to everyone's taste but it's gotta be the cheapest CUSTOM interior work you could ever get.

seen this in person today looks alot better in person it is actually not as pink as the photos look. there is more white in the dash pieces.
