Hey all,

Really want to get my steering wheel controls to work with my aftermarket headunit.

Has anyone used this unit below to get their steering wheel stereo control to work with their aftermarket headunits?

If so, any feedback, experience, installation advice, etc?

Don't cut the red wire :bowrofl:

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. You can just wire it into your existing loom behind your deck ( its not going to draw much power ). Seems like ABC.

How do you plan on mounting it on the wheel?

Mounting it on the wheel? I already have the existing buttons on my XI steering wheel.

I would be a bit dissapointed losing my buttons when getting an aftermarket deck so I reckon these are pretty cool. Got no idea on installation though, but I think they work by replicating the signals of the remote???

Well, looking through the service manual, i have found which connection and which exact wire is coming from the steering wheel. Apparently it only requires three wires to be connected - Battery, Acc, and the signal wire.

I really hope its that easy... :)
