Hey guys, Cold cathodes came today and the wiring is really confusing me. Ive posted 2 pictures below of the boot light (which i wil b connecting the cathode to) and the actual cathode wiring. OK, now here for the questions....
1. From what i gather is it possible to simply solder the two wires coming form the base of the cathode to the two wires of the boot light?

2. Are these other wires neccessary to be connected? (im sure they are as the convert the voltage methinks)

3. I also purchased a sound sensitive module, is it possible to connect?

4. Can anyone point out to me which wires go where?

-CHEERS!

The invertor can be hooked up in parallel to the 2 boot lid wires (check polarity). The switch is inline with either the ground or power wire. The SS module can be mounted on either the ground or power wire (again, inline and doesn't matter wheher it's before or after the switch). I gather it's just a mic in a circuit that acts as a variable resistor.

Hey ppl, after much confusion i finally installed my cold cathode into the boot. As promised im posting a picture of the final look. (would post more except they dun fit!)

Quite a simple proccess really and looks fantastic in my opinion as i wanted a sort of subtle effect when you open the boot. Ooo and the sound sensitive module works a treat! .....Southern Hospitality really makes the module worth its money (its a song by ludacris for all of those who dont know hehe)

Should disconnect the boot light.
