no... takes a full day to get them in

lots of grinding and they sit quiet high, wouldnt mind finding someone who can make custom rails.

but yes, back on topic!!!! She sounds a bit rough, but atleast u get an idea, thats only on stock waste gate which is 5psi.

The engine cost me about 4,500. Plus all the other stuff, to do what ive done would be about 10G all up. Umm, sorry about the video, i know its not the best, will try and take one again tomorow, was in a rush, was just to get something for u guys to hear.

Will be like this for about 2,000km, then will drop oil and put a 10-15 weight oil in (down from 25 for bedding in) and do a high boost tune (14psi) thats the power figure u want. Builder reckons it should be good for 270hp (189kw)

Yeah AJ does sound very quiet compared to our bigger engines hehe
But does sound very fresh. That's what the magna engines sounded like back in 1995 from the showroom. No tractor noise what so ever.

What flange is the turbo. Also did you do any work on it (balancing or rebuilding)

Im a bit uneducated about turbo in regards to what fits and what doesnt. GTO's use td04 with a 6psi wastegate actuation pressure and i think there might be something called a 9b which is off some other mitsubishi which can run higher boost and stock wastegate is 9psi. lol

So anyway hurry up and drive to alice springs or somewhere about 1000kms away and back.

No, your right. Currently it has my OLD map from 2 years ago on it, and its a different build, so it runs like ****, it still has to go into the tuners for the basic tuning for bedding in. THEN I can drive it. Thats why it sounds rough when i build up revs because the air fuel mix map is way out. Cuz I dont run a sensor, all my air/fuel is mapped.

The turbo is a GT28-60R, with a 5psi internal wastegate. It fits quiet fine, just had to curve the 3" dump down and around my oil filter so you can still change it:P

Yes I helped build the bottom end. It was blue printed (the whole motor) had my pistons heat treated and polished crank. I got some pics, ill upload in a second.

I'm sure if you listen you can hear the Turbo spool.... you can hear the BOV working... that means bBOOST uleh!

Great work... suggestion... dont be revving the motor.. please, not until its tuned, no more starts for your friends. and not to mention its not run in, Free reving new angine=BAD!

yeah finnally got my copper head gasket to seal which is good and my oils all ready to rock and roll, so all that is left to do is change the coolant on the weekend and away we go on monday!

Ok, well, problems persist, didn't get full tune, but has been smoothed out a tad. Is semi drivable but not going to happen. Will take another video tonight, but sorry to dissapoint, its not 100% on the road due to technicalities....clutch frying on the dyno...8 puck smells nice.
