why do you think the car makers don't fit their cars with a stock strut bar? It's a cheap addition, isn't it :?:

you got to remember most drivers of regular passenger cars dont push them enough to need much rigidity, I mean plenty people don t even corner, brake or accelerate hard enough to have soft their toys slide off the dash. So saving 100$ for each strut brace on 100'000 cars that get sold to people who wouldnt notice the difference is a saving of 10 million bucks for the year as an example. A lot of expensive hi-po cars do have them standard, and now some manufacturers are starting to put them on their hot variants eg HSV and Mazda 3 SP20.

Im confused with all the different terms... Is there any such thing as a strut bar? As far as I know there are Strut Braces for the front, and sway bars for the rear. But then again i dont know too much

There are strut braces/bars *and* swaybars available for the front and rear ends.

the strut bars go at the top of the supension struts - teh sway bars go at the bottom of the suspension units

ok - strut and sway bars are available front and rear for each and yeah - the front strut bar helps keep the car straight on the roads - i honestly think it is brilliant

Hell yeah to that! It would make a fair bit of a difference to handling performance it reviews! The main criticism of the VR-X in most reviews I've seen is the power understeer.
