So I got the bootlip spoiler on! Did the painting myself, dodgy weather meant waiting days between coats for an opportunity to work on it but its finally done! The curve of the TL boot makes the spoiler look a bit strange from some angles (pic 2 and 4), but it's growing on me. I guess the lip also takes some attention away from the bulbous ass. Anyways, lets hear some feedback.
Cheers,
E

in some angles the lid looks too small or the boot/bumper looks to fat...other angles its allrite.

gud to be different!

I agree with TFboy, some of those shots make it look ok, but the others either make it look like its not ment to be there.

it would look good on a te/tf coz their boots have more of a angle on the top of the boot were urs has a realy round edge, :D

i quite like it - well i like the idea

reminds me a lot of a lip spoilers you get on old EA/B/D's
kinda feel like it should be *slightly* bigger in all directions.

but yeah i do like it :)

I think it would look better if it sat further back so it was right on the curve of the bootlid

Looks... nondescript, don't really like it but you probably do, so that's a-ok.

I definately agree with that, it would have been nice if it was slightly bigger and fit the shape of the boot better.

Unfortunately the boot curves down really sharply, it is sitting on the very last straight part of the boot. If I put it any furthur back it would not have attached properly or would have been sitting at a weird angle.

To be honest, it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, and going into this I knew that the TL boot wasn't perfect for a lip spoiler but thought I'd give it a go anyways. However, it was a very inexpensive mod and it is growing on me ... like everyone says 'pics don't do it justice'.

Agreed. It does look 'stuck on' when you look at it from some angles. Looking directly side-on or standing by the car and looking towards the boot are two angles where it does look good (in my opinion).

Thanks for your comments boys, ima leave it on for a while and see how I feel, its easily removable anyway if I change my mind.

I think it looks great, and even more so considering you did it yourself.

Looks like it's not meant to be there.

If you de-badged the car it would look less out of place.

I've been thinking about doing this, might have to be my next step.

Interesting, I've been looking at these since I bought my car (a bit before actually), they're not really expensive, the place I've looked at getting one from is $90 delivered ready to paint. I'm not sure it suits the TL curves so well though, on my KE I reckon it'd be great, would match the angles :P

Looking good none the less

Lugo, I think it would look great on the KE, it would fit flush with the angle of the boot. The place I got mine from was $49 delivered (unpainted, unprimed) from taiwan. The shipping was surprisingly quick, somewhere between 7-10 days. The ebay seller is "gofashionshoppe".

I got a spray can made up with my colour from autobarn for about $25 and primer's a couple of bucks. A proper spray gun + compressor set up would give better results, but because its such a small area its not really necessary. Just watch for globs shooting out of those spray cans!

Cheers
