hi all, been looking through the old posts, and i saw that we can put a KR bar on the TS, how much should i expect to pay for one from the wreckers...? Obviously it would vary depending on the condition... but a rough ball park... $80-100 with the two driving lights... or more?
thanks in advance

maybe its the touring edition on KS? i got this pic from an old thread (2nd gen front bars...) and it said KR... but this is the one im thinking of :) im really just after it for the fact its already got the driving lights... im quite happy to keep the TS bar, but im going to (want) to hack into it to fit the driving lights... ofcourse i dont need too, but i will lol

Yes that's a KR bar. I have no idea why you'd want it, I personally hate the look of it.

most people want the diamante front bars, the most common is the series 1 bar, which has the rectangle foglights.. the less common but also rather popular is the series 2 bar, which has cirular foglights
the KS bar is virtually just a normal TS bar with either a two tone colour or a full body colour, there is some that you can find that has the water jets to rinse off the headlights, but it's off the touring model 'rada's... the KR bar is slightly longer and has driving lights

If I recall correctly the Series 1 and Series 2 Diamante bars also have driving lights and actually look pretty good, pic of the series 1 bar in my profile.
EDIT: Beat me to the post. lol

Yes that's a KR bar pictured. But the lights at the front aren't driving lights; they are just the parkers. They won't actually provide any useful lighting for you, but might possibly be able to modify them?
I've seen a couple in the past few days, and in the flesh they didn't appear to stick out as much as in the pics; actually made me start considering one.
That said, would be much cheaper to modify my current bar.

ahh ok, thanks mate... well i think ill stick with my TS bar for now then if theyre just blinkers... could probably wack some super dooper halogens in there or some super bright LED's... (i like the idea to mod them though... mhmmm) but to be honest... ill just modify the one ive got  thought they was driving lights... anyways
thanks all

Personally I am one of those who prefer the Verada Bar, I once looked at grafting the KR bar and then Lower Diamante bar so I could also have the driving lights, only never got round to it.

KR bar looks nice from the front... but its a shame it sticks out 10ft.
On the upside, you could use it as a bench seat... or a picnic table at the park.
