just realised today that 2 of the dials ( air con and temp) arnt working in the centre console

so it got me thinking..if i was to pull them out and fix them why dont i make them red to go with my vrx red dials at nite?

anyone done this? mind telling me how and loading up a pic thnx.

Done it on my 2nd-gen. Just used red silicon sleeves ("condoms"), as I've yet to find a suitable LED option.
Though with my dash being white LED, I have to have the dimmer turned to about halfway so it's not too bright, but this means the incandescents are a bit too low. Turn it up and they look good, but the dash is too bright (is intrusive when driving long distances in the dark).

Most "red" ones you get do look orange, but for example the ones for the demister (or is it hazards?) on a 2nd-gen, which the sleeve looks bright pink, actually turn out very red. They're thick though, so you do lose quite a bit of light otput.
