With the cost of fuel rising and the trend towards diesel engines, I was checking out some fuel-savers and came up with this little gem. It looks too simple to be so affective, but their claims are quite high.

http://www.water-4-fuel.com/

It's an interesting read if anything.

Wikipedia seems to have info that supports it too. A fuel consumption saving of up to 50% and higher compression so more power.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_fuel_enhancement

Anyone game to try it out ??

Looks like a baby bottle with some lines coming out of it, can i get the jist of it without having 67 pages to read :S

im not keen on the idea imho paying for petrol doesnt worry me in the least. Hope someone does try it though and see if it actually works or not

didnt read a great deal, looks like a load of bollocks to me though. Dude's scamming as much cash as possible from the looks.

There's been a few cars produced testing this out, I think a US automaker was interested in the design as well although i'm not sure which one. I certainly hope something comes of it, wouldn't be any harder to install than an LPG system and would cost practically nothing to run.

Any page with bright attention seeking colours is obviously trying to suck people in.
Just from skimming through the page it looks like total gabble.
Reminds me of annoying ringtone ads on tv:rant:

I have heard of water burning cars before, but I beleive they needed major modification. I think this one is a load of crap:D Although I would like to be wrong.

this item may be bull****, but the hydrogen on demand system its imploying has been used successfully for a while by industrious home fabricators.

its basically a gas bleed system (old lpg style) but instead of putting gaseous hydrogen in your car, you put water, and the little device extracts the hydrogen from the water. this is then bleed into the engine, and the fuel map is then tuned to use less fuel, as the hydrogen makes up the difference.

there are a couple articles about an NZ man who had an rb20e r32 skyline (old school) and had run up nearly 300,000kms since installing it. he puts 20litres of water in it a month and gets an extra 30percent out of a tank of fuel. he made it himself at home

good technology but being something good for the envorinment the government isnt going to invest in it till they can tax it.

I like the idea of the compressed air car. Runs massive tanks of compressed air under the car. Cant remember how it worked, but instead of in a normal engine where it uses combustion to force the piston down (or detonation im not a bloody mechanic) it just feeds the compressed air straight into the engine which pushes the piston down, that in turn runs a generator which keeps the car going.
thought that was the best idea myself (saw it on foxtel a while back)
A car that runs on air what more could you want

Bahahahahahahaha next time the mate comes round in his EL i'll take some pics of the unit he has.:bowrofl: :bowrofl:

It certainly bubbles when he turns it on, but thats all its done so far. :doubt:

It is possible, this guy uses water in his car and as a welder etc

But I doubt its the same as this kit........

use a little electricity out of your car's battery, to separate water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). HHO, also called Brown's Gas or Hydroxy, burns beautifully and provides TONS of energy - while the end product is just WATER! Mobile Magazine says HHO provides the atomic power of Hydrogen, while maintaining the chemical stability of water.
I wonder if this person understands that HHO is the same as H2O... Being water.. (For those of you who dont know, the '2' next to the H means that there are 2 H's). And seeing as water has no atomic power... because its water.... HHO wont do squat except help flood your engine.

water4gas! Fuel saving of 107% on a Toyota car! It would have to be putting 7% back into your tank! Questionable at the least. Unless a typo

it isn't the water that is doing anything, it is the baking soda, which reacts with the water. the electric current is there to make the sodium in the baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) react. when it does it bubbles making the water release hydrogen. both hydrogen and sodium (when mixed with oxygen) burn very well. so as the engine is sucking this into the motor it would be making a bigger bang than normal. on the down side, your combustion temps are probably sky rocketing, so while you may save a bit on fuel, you are probably going to need to replace the headgasket, pistons, rings and spark plugs pretty often.

the other thing that would cause the better economy is that since the combustion temps are up you would be getting a more complete burn, so not having unburnt fuel come out the exhaust, so you don't have to put your foot down as far to accelerate. but the same thing can be done with an aftermarket ecu to wind some timing in and back off the fuel a bit.

plus the kit comes with fuel line heaters, plus the little device you hook into your map sensor to lean the car off. so only a partial amount of the fuel economy is due to the water/baking soda combo.

personally i'd just go a water/methonol injection and a new ecu

i seen this on tv once, was interesting, seemed to work great on the dudes home made car

Hi, HHO is a gaseous mixture of Hydrogen and Oxygen which, when burned becomes H2O, or water

but ain't we ment to be saving water:doubt:

Yes, but apparently when it burns it basically becomes water again. Sort of like how condensation is formed.

The entire thing is questionable, i'd like to believe it's real for the sake of keeping our current cars/engines, but I won't believe it until I see it in action.

This would be sweet if it would work. But the oil companies will be game over.
