As title states,
Put the wrong one on my gbox when building motor and had this happen. Its fixable so, will just chuck my beefed up one on and get the hole filled up.

Id get a new housing myself, rather than plugging the hole in that one.

Yeah I just bolted the stock one on by accident. Will slap it all back together in the next couple of days, will just drive with a hole there till I get another outter housing and/or spare gearbox.
But just pays to make sure you put the right part on

Seal it with some silicone and some tin plate.... just need to keep water/oil out of there.

the main question that every one wants to know is did it kill anyone

Seal it up with epoxy steel or JB weld and then sand it smooth. Good as gold, a bell housing isn't taking much load anyway.

thanks guys, yeah, will just be sealing the hole up for the time being. Trying to find another manual box in WA is like getting blood out of a stone.
