After much thought I finally decided to give in and get an Ipod adapter for my Bora to suit Pioneer decks. I must admit, I was very sceptical at first about the quality but after sampling some songs I have been plesently suprised. Of course the install was done to be as stealthy as possible. The CD-IB00II is mounted on the passenger side high in the footwell was there was not enough room to mount it behind the centre console ( Xovers ) or behind the glove box. Access to the Ipod can only be made through the glove box so it is all out of sight. :)
Next I gave the Boston G5 the boot after 3 years of service in favour of a Oz Audio ME 12.2. This woofer has done nothing but constantly surprise me. It is a lot louder than the G5 and plays almost as low ( it does need a bigger box ). Most of all the authority on drum hits matches the best 8inch woofer I have heard and it rumbles away without fuss. Basically it is the cheaper and much better sounding alternative to the DD 3512. I suggest anyone that has about $500 to budget for a sub to have a look. And yes that is 140oz worth of magnet. The last thing is to finish the decoration board for the sub enclosure. Then everything will be done lol
