Its not a commercial place, But you can buy it from bunnings.
If its a big project, Look up fibreglass supplies in the good ol yellow pages

Bunnings is really a no no. Very expensive for what they sell.

Ill try to find a name of a supplier who was said to be good, and cheap. There in North Sydney I believe

EDIT. Your not from Sydney. But there are also in most states

Filler.

Depends on what you need it for. I used some Sellys filler for home stuff for some of my audio projects, is fine to sand then paint. You may also prefer the Automotive fillers, not sure what the difference is, but im sure there is.

Well i can remember for 1sq of mat 1L of resin and the catalyst was all up like $50
Just every time i always needed only a bit more so i never purchased in bulk, I will next time though, Fiberglassing is fun.

I usually use just Septone Body filler for filling in holes followed by a few coats of spray putty

thanks guys,

last time i used some autofiller, but put a bit too much catalyst in, and it is soooooo hard, so hard to sand....and some of it wasnt mixed properly and did dry.

lol oh well it was my first time...but yeah im playing around with a few idea's.

spray putty, is it just like using filler? whats its purpose?? and does it come in a spray can?

oh like after you bog whatever it is your doing, i.e. my parcel shelf, you use spray putty (in a spray can) and it fills in all the little pinpricks in the bog which you cant see very good...you think its smooth but yeah tiny holes everywhere....sucks for painting..

when i was doing the letterbox grilles just bog the bit you need to then smooth it into the rest of the grille.
and use something good like acrylic primer to see if you have any spots, give it a few coats of spray putty one by one and she should be mint.

Just a can.
Do like 2 layers of primer and sand down flat with like 1500, give it 2 coats min of paint, nice smooth even spraying strokes, then do about 4-5 layers of clear. should dry all shiney and awesome

dont use bunnings stuff oh my god its crap! I worked non stop with FGI products for the last 18 months and its pretty good stuff! If you're getting some choppy or roving, also order a bristle consolidator. These are great for getting air out of the fibreglass but just remember to get a dry mowhair roller after you've finished to mop up the excess resin.

Whatever you're making, if u need some hints and tips let me know as composites is my job

BTW, did i mention . . . . :stoopid:
