iv done this myself and it works awesome.

just buy some 90mm TPR ducting (do a google search for places near you)

if your gonna do that at least find the thread of where they remove part of the rubber from the bonnet to increase the area of the intake.

im sure they had their reasons. but performance wasn't at the top of that list.

i agree, stock intake , leave it there.

if u really want to change something then run some flexi hone from the snorkel to the vents on the lower part of ur front bar,

to be honest its really such an insignificant mod unless u have say 30% more power then factory ... honestly, id much rather have a nice tidy engine bay then one hacked up with pvc piping and silicone everywhere for .05kw's ..... man ive done alot of growing up, or have i just learnt from experience ? lol

i tried the nz intake and removed the piece of plastic that allowed the air to flow through to the battery compartment were the nz intake draw's it's air,i noticed after driving for a while the intake plumbing was much cooler to the touch but i actually think i lost power,throttle response was down and the car just didn't want to rev and when i put the standard intake back on it was fine
