I'm possibly going to trade in my P.O.S JDM Diamante for an Oz spec KL Verada/Diamante Xi (10/03 build). My main question/problem is the headunit because i only listen to my iPod, never the radio or CDs.
Is there an aux input on the back of the headunit? and if i replace the headunit, is there an adapter available so the steering wheel buttons work?
Cheers!

There is no aux input on the 'premium' head units, fm transmitter/inline is the only real option.

thanks for the replies ;)
i guess i'll be buying a new headunit then! it's amazing how many cars from the last few years with these fully integrated headunits are crossed off my shopping list simply because there is no ipod facility. all 380s bar the ES included.
FM transmitters dont cut the mustard imo

Yeap I've just bought a KL Verada Xi. The double Din premium sound unit has a very good sound. But lack of MP3 playback or connectivity is a real pain.
Ideally I'd like a double Din unit without bling, that plays MP3 encoded discs, will connect an ipod via a lead into the console box or glove box, and built in blue-tooth for my phone. Let me know how you get on!

u could always try brashimports.com.au for a cheaper 2din h.u or buy a jvc good value for money but not too $$$.i use the kenwood ddx7039 touch h.u but its a bit of a pain in the butt sometimes u have to press hard on the screen for it to pick up the input.

yeah i'm quite keen on JVC, cheap and pretty good by the sounds of it.
well i'm now the owner of pewter KL Xi :D
registered as a 2004 model but actual D.O.M was 10/03, 1 private owner, full service history, 69000k and got it for NZD14500 minus $4300 for my crapbag 98 Diamante and it's still under factory warranty until Jan 09.
only mods will be new ipod friendly headunit and probably once the warranty runs out i will lower it and pop on my 18's off my old Diamante ;)
