Slight problem with a Toyota aurion protogy with the gps touch screen stereo, it has the stereo option for an aux input but i cant find the plug, the manual is completely useless it just says its located "around the instrument cluster". is the actual input plug an optional extra? any ideas?

Check under any little covers and such... Mum's new Civic has it next to the cigarette lighter... and a mate's new XR5 Mondeo has it in the glove box.

I had a look in my dad's Toyota Aurion Presara (which has the touchscreen sat nav stereo) but there was no aux input.

Check out the Toyota Aurion Accessories page (http://www.toyota.com.au/toyota/vehicle/Accessory/0,5262,3591_1392,00.html) it has more info on audio upgrades for the Aurion which might help you.
