I believe they RRP for $3.5k (Go price closer to 3)selected dealers have them

JVC KW-AVX810 $1099
Bluetooth Adapter $249
GPS Unit with AV Out $Dunno pricing, but a few hundred, 200-400?

Then you've got everything you need, for less than half the price.

avic sucks anyway... software in them is horrible, they take about a minute to boot up when you start the car, the i-pod connection is the slowest thing ive ever come across, and i hate installing them ontop of that haha, dont buy one, get an eclipse avn6000 or kenwood with the garmin module

Really? I have the same setup as you and I've never had any problems with the volume. Have you set the volume to max only in the Garmin sat nav settings? You can also increase the sat nav volume from the Kenwood head unit settings. Maybe also set the voice guidance to be played over both front speakers instead of only one as this might help you listen to the guidance a bit better.

That's about right, it's normaly bout 1.5k for the whole setup on one of those units, that's the price i was quoted from a small business installer and distributor
