with all respects to any comment i make:

Extractors $660.00
-oviously RPW ones. why not try pacemaker, as many including myself have these fitted and only given praise. ive yet to see a RPW extractors on a stock car dyno before and after, and one thing id love to see in the near future.

Shifter $300.00
-Quick shifter? looks like these have gone up in price since i got them at $220 incl freight and all.

KYB Shocks$665.00
-why KYB? everyone is more then happy (again, incl myself) with GT Gas.
sure might be slightly better, but for the majority of us road users the difference woulnt be worth the price justification. are you really gonna use the KYB shocks any different then the GT.G?

FSE FPR $372.00
-what other mods you have on the car? has anyone noticed any difference wit one? really really nessary? (again from experience) the stock fuel pump is more then usefull. and i dont have a FPR and dont get flatspots (weather that due to haltech tuning, im not sure)

Ben.

yes they are the rpw ones Ben. i am also looking into purchasing Pacemakers and intend on dynoing both sets for research.

quickshifter for $220? uyes that is the retail price. but how much did it cost u to install it? or did you do it yourself?

KYB shocks - these are just the ones i have been quoted. i have also been quoted for GT Gas, and for $695. so i feel KYB is somewhat he same, and i can get them cheaper.

FPR - i may not need, but if i do get the RPW extractors, there is a flatspot. this i also do feel that i am therefore paying about 900 dollars for extractors, so whatever the dyno tells me, i may not get the FPR, or the extractors.

cheers

Trav

id be VERY keen to see results.. but is that cost of buying both justified...?

if you can change cd's in your cd player, im sure you can undo/do four bolts that hold your existing gear stick with this quickshifter ;) yes - soo easy im sure my sister could do it :D

Go for the KYB, they'll last longer.

I'll second that. I finally got around to putting mine in today and it is trivially simple.

yes maybe 500 bucks is the going price for Gt GAs. haha but ask the guys at midsa about that. hahaha. dont worry i will be getting second, third and fourth opinions.

hhhmm, also looks like i will be installing the shifter myself 8)

Hey, Trav. That's a good start. I'm not a fan of the RSM though. Reckon that money could go towards something that will speed you up.

How long before headers go on? I presume it will be after Dave get's the adjusted headers back? Is yours an auto or manual? I'm keen to see how fitment to a 3.0 is before I go any further. Keep us in the loop.

NIce list and looking forward to playing with your car - always like to see a stock magna come in and a modified one leave with a grin ont eh customers face.

Just one thing to consider - with the Apexi other than the looks and cool screen it provides - it is of no real benefit to future mods to the vehicle.

If you want something like that either save and get the full greddy e-manage system or just get the partial greddy e0manage basic unit which has the same tuning functions as the greddy e-manage or alternativly, have a look at the new greddy e-manage programming screens we are now importing which have the same screen functions as the apexi which is speed, rpm, throttle position etc. THis can be hooked up to the greddy e-manage tuning unit later for even more functions and is around the same price of the apexi unit. An alternative for you to consider possibly.

Come and have a look on the one I have on my magna which is a more advanced version of it because it has teh in built boost controller.

The greddy won't do 0-100 or 1/4 mile times though, like the RSM, will it? I mean if you're just looking for something that can give you indicative performance figures, short of going down to the strip, you still need something like the RSM or G-Tech, yeah?

I think the Greddy does some form of data logging but not sure what extent it's taken to. Besides, and RSM isn't as accurate or as fun as a proper strip run.

That's what I would buy one for, the 0-100 times.
