Hi All.

ATM im running a stock Automatic 1997 TE Magna Advance. And really, im not sure where to start performance wise. I want to get some cheaper products that dont effect fuel or make my car defect (such as a pod filter that is not enclosed, etc.).

I was kind of thinking along the lines of a Throttle Body (from RPW), Extractors or a K&N Ram Pod Filer w/ Some sort of cold air induction system.

I have future plans to get some fuel pressure regulators, a piggy back computer, and eventually twin exhast and bore out the cylinders a bit.

If i was going to do the exhast i would go for a JIC muffler & tip from autojoy (www.autojoy.com.au), with a 3" or a 3.5" tip.
Either one of these: http://www.autojoy.com.au/product/images/mufflers/Matrix_b.jpg
Or one of these: http://www.autojoy.com.au/product/images/mufflers/4_b.jpg

What would you guys suggest working on 1st? I really dont want to make the fuel economy any worse then it is at the stage. HELP?

Cheers,

a zorst like that will be over the 90 Db limit and be very droney. trust me on this..... your best bet would be a redback, magnaflow, or lukey muff.
dont go for some cheap ass muffler made for JDM cars, cos chances are you'll be doin more harm than good. (again, trust me on this...... i am silly too!) other than that, welcome and enjoy our party!!!!

Heyya!

Well actually, they arnt that cheap, they are made in japan and cost $300+ for one. Very popular in japan although rare in australia due to the japanese consintraiting thier market on america.

Anyways, which type do you think looks best? cause i might see i f i can find a good magnaflow one in simialr design.

So you think i should buy a muffler and tip 1st?

definately go for the zorst first. i think most everyone will agree on that one. you can get a decent magnaflow for round 3 hunjee....
then i personally recommend going the strut brace, improves cornering to no end.... just my 2c :D

body kits i did a little research into this a while back. from what i found it's prolly cheaper to import one from america or something. or atleast it will be if the aussie dollar continues to increase. not sure if you're keen to do thats but just an idea i myself was toying with. I was looking at savings of around $200 at the time. And kits from overseas to me where looking better then any i've seen locally. however you'd prolly have to wait around 4-6 weeks for 1 to be imported.

Hey thanks guys!!!

SO here is what im going to start off with (in order)
-A damn tune up (damn car just dones not sound right!)
-Platnum Spark Plugs
-New thicker ignition leads
-Magnaflow Exhast Muffler & Tip
-Ram Pod Filter with Cold Air Induction & Throttle Body (flowed or equivelent) OR Extractors
-Suspension Upgrade (i dont like the floaty feel of the suspension so im going lowered and stiffer!!)
-A Dyno Tune up

Any thoughts on this order?
