How much does it cost to replace a third gen arial? mines been snapped off :doubt: similarly, how much to shave it?
If anyone has done either of these, any help would be appreciated :)

why shave it? just cut the aerial wire at the back of the head unit. from memory, its the pink one on my TL (it brings then aerial up when you turn on the unit). then just get an interior antenna hook it up to the head unit. can't be too hard.
because shaving = sexy smooth looks :) replacement antennas, aerpro branded, are about $30 or so for non-electric, and $80 or so for electric.

Hey,
If you really wnat to take the aial away and smooth the lines of ur car I have seen 'shark fin' arials on ebey.
These arials are like the ones you see on BMW's
I am kinda thinking of doin' this myself to.

I have a proper sharkfin aerial from BMW, not those cheap ones from EBAY. I was going to put that up, but the connector is completely different. Not sure if i can cut the connector and just change it to something else. will have to look into it soon, as my antenna been broken for over a year. :D

Well depends if you want a factory look or a $8 look.. If you dont care than $8 is good. If you care then the TL one is under 100 for a power one.. TH-TJ one is the same but 4 times the price..
Ive shaved my aerial off.. no more on the guard.. smooth guard..:) i have a internal one..:)

TL power ariel is $160 from mitsu iirc. Aftermarket looks the same and is ~$100 from Autobarn. Otherwise you can get cheap crap off ebay from hong kong for $30.
