this is an intresting photo

one for you Madmagna -mitsubishi guru

does anyone recall having a hydraulic pipe placed in the position on top of
automatic to the rear of the engine mount on any TM -TP auto
first gen they have owned

I rebuild these autos and this is a first

see pic 3 with pipe

this pipe is leaking

I am waiting for its owner to tell me where the pipe goes to and the box serial number

the pipe is going into the autos oil pump location

Just gone over all my data an the TM-TP autos I have

and this pipe conection has been added

It is not a pressure reading point

I know it shouldn,t be there in a TN/TP auto

at the moment the auto is working properly and fitted into a TP sedan

my info doesnt say the TM box had one fitted there

any ideas ?

In the first 2 pics all I can see are the trans cooler pipes.

In the third, there is a pipe that looks looped over, I may be mistaken but is this not in the area of the breather? I have seen one of these before that liked to push fluid out of the breather so a mechanic put a pipe on this to extend it, the fluid would not leak outside and the trans did not build up pressure. This was on a TN I once serviced. The trans was running ok but was in short had it. C10 ford transmissions also do this.
