ok after seeing and using Cummins dewalt 1/2" drive cordless impact wrench, i want to get one
question is what brands should i look at getting and how much torque do i need
i know to do up wheels nuts i need approx 100-130nm does the cordless impact wrench need to be much more than that eg 200nm or higher
thanks

Hitachi=Great tools, that would be my bet, dewalt has not the name for itself like it used to(actually Black & Decker now! ) batteries die all the time...
Anything German is usually pretty good.... :D
Dont know about torque ratings, you have to see for yourself instore.

we use milwaukee 18v and 24v at work (zinc refinery) and they are brillant. good battery life and huge power.

Cant say about cordless one but I have 2 air ones, 1 is 250nm and the other is 500nm.
Usually the 250 is fine but I have on occassion had to revert to the 500.
If its just for your own wheels you should be fine but if its for lots of different cars you will occassionally find a cordless falling short. :)

I'm finding it hard to find impact wrench's over the 200nm torque well ones that are under $600
i didn't want to spend 800-1000 to get the 350-450nm impact wrench's
so will 200nm wrench be enough to do up MY wheels nuts or will i have to tighten with a breaker bar still

Doing up is fine, its the undoing when its been there for a while that needs the extra power. :)

snap on breaker bar+ 4ft pipe + 2 hefty blokes= nut undone, or use some of that freeze and release just dont spray it onto peoples fingers as it burns.

I bought a cheap gun from Repco that plugs into your cig ligher. It also lets you power it straight off the battery.
Seems to be more than powerfull enough for wheel nuts. Does them tighter than I can do by hand, thats for sure. It may however help I have an Optima Yellow top as a battery, lol.
Only set me back about 60bux.

that's fine when you have access to a compressor.
haven't got the space nor the inclination to take a compressor to the track!
