Hi everyone.

Does anyone run LPG with a big bore or high flow throttle body?

Im interested to know if it still gives the same kind of improvements as it does to the petrol engine.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Cheers.

I have 2 magnas both on LPG,
1 a TJ2 AWD w/ a highflow TB & have definitely noticed similar differences/ gains after installation. It has the newer injection style LPG installed, no retune necessary as the LPG computer re-learns much like the cars ECU does.

The other car a TL has the older mixer style LPG & I'm waiting for the TB to arive in the mail anyday now. I've been told by my mechanic that to get the full benefit of the high flow TB that the system will need to be retuned afterwards. I can't agree or disagree with this as yet but I'll let you know in a week or so. :D

i didn't know injection style lpg was available for the Magna. What brand is it? what's it like to drive?

I've got a ELKO system in mine & it runs fine. Absolutely no difference in driving between the 2 fuels, acceleration wise. I haven't towed anything with the car yet so can't say if it's lost any power or not.

It's pretty economical too, I think. I get 480-500ks per 60l in the AWD, not bad considering I get pretty similar out of the TL FWD

Parnell also have an injection system for the Magna and I'm sure there are others, just I don't know of them.
