back in the day $250 was a decent price, id say theyre even more rare now and although it seems you were lucky getting a good price id say from now on those that are keen for a set maybe should not be so optomistic

interesting you say that wombat, ...mine dont hook up at all, lol i cbf making it fit either, maybe mistu did change their design? but then the question is why, you'd think itd be a complete knob around to change something that im assuming worked reasonably fine...lol hey perry and wombat interesting thought tho, whens the build date on your cars? i know that mine was one of the last set made in march 96...

my old one was march 95, the connectors should be all the same

the connectors for the parkers in the parras were different to my stock lights too, all i did was chop/solder the old connectors onto the parras - 5 min job, easy as to do

Hey everyone, this is my first post in the second gen section!!
I actually have a couple of KS Veradas and just bought a nice looking KR that ive put some KS light in the back and was about to do the garnish but it needs big whole cut in the boot for it to fit as it seems teh KS has lights in the actual garnish... well big square bits on the back that look like they would be... no wires though so i dunno... maybe for the export ones?
Anyway, i am planning to put the KS lheadlights in it... anyone know if they will simply plug in? Obviously they have the parkers in the bar but id imagine thatd be separate?
Is it hard to change them over coz i had a brief look and i cant work it out as yet!!
Theres propbably a how to somewhere in this forum so if anyone could point me out to it that would be great!
Thanks
Alex.

can i ask what the .... paras are? are the juts standard fog lights?

parras are parabolic headlights, they are very distinct looking over regular headlights, do a search and you will find people with them, and yes putting paras in is very easy, you have to:
remove the grille.
unscrew 2 screws on the side of the headlight that you will find after the grille is removed.
look behind the headlight and work out where the blinkers unclip and then pry the blinker out gently where it clips into the quarter panel.
once the blinker is removed you will see the other 2 screws holding the headlight in, remove all the wires to the headlight and simply pull it out.
It's not hard, if you spend some time looking around, you will work out how to remove it, working out how to remove the blinker was my biggest hassle.
My parkers had the same connection and simply swapped over, but some peoples have had different connections and have had to cut wires and re-solder them to make them work.

Mine were a straight swap over from the stock ones. Just ask gas_hed he watched me put em in. My car is a tr and they came from a ks.

Spot on, its a 5minute unplug/plug in job.

seems some of you were lucky with the parkers, the rest of us had to cut and solder

well i took the lights out the ks and whacked them in the KR today... was very easy!!
only thing is the lights out of the ks (the parras) has an extra wire on them that plugged in apart from the two globe lugs. Works fine on teh kr as they have teh parkers in the bar seperate so im thinking that the ks verada i put the standard lighst back in wont have parkers now?? have to check on that at some stage.
Decided to leave the original indicators.

So yea... didnt have to do any rewiring or anything. Now to tackle the back of it and get the rear garnish off the ks to go into the kr boot... probably need a grinder :P

My suggestion would be to tap into the parkers in the bar and connect them up to the parkers in the parras would look pretty good.
