Confirmed 24 - theres a black plastic\rubber o-ring that seals the sump plug. The original one "should" be right but if you want I can grab a few different sized ones from work and bring them for you tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Dont worry about the O ring Nemesis. I got one when i bought the filter.

another thing is to be careful with sockets. they have a rounded off opening that can make it easy to stuff the silly half height mitsu sump plug. safer with a ring spanner.

Or just make sure its 100% flat and perfect fit before you push.. they are a real crap design..:)

may be a crap design but its on an angle to reduce the chance of the plug being torn off and for thoes who use ramps it helps push the oil towards the plug hole.

Big shifter always does the trick for me, just don't do it up to tight, you will regret it next time.

Come to think of it i think it might be 25..:P

I took out the calipers yesterday and measure the size of my sump plug. It wasnt 24mm but,
It was 23.8mm.
