Hey guys,
I need some help here. I started removing the mudflaps on my 1996 TE Executive this morning. The front pair were fairly easy to remove.. I eventually realised that I could turn the wheels in the opposite direction to fit a screwdriver in there. However, it's the rear left mudflap that I'm having trouble with (For some reason my car doesn't have a rear right mudflap.)
The front flaps had 3 bolt/screw things that could be loosened with a screw driver.. but the rear flap has 2 plain bolts which need a spanner (?) to loosen them. But since the back wheels don't turn, I can't fit a spanner in there.. and I really don't want to take off the wheel to do this. Any ideas??
Here are some pics of what I'm talking about:

Hi, do you have a socket wrench? If not, you can get pretty cheap socket sets for about $20 if that at say SuperCheap Auto etc. Without looking at my car's mudflaps, using one of those might do the trick without you having to remove the wheel?

The above will work, also make sure you have some glue/tar remover on ya coz the mud flaps are also glued to the body... just peel them off and then use the glue remover to get rid of any glue that's left on the body

Thanks guys :D
My car is so old that there is basically no black tar stuff left under the mudflaps.. they are hanging by the screws/bolts basically.
I'll see if I can borrow/buy a socket wrench. :)

if you jack the rear up, it should give you more room to work with

off set ring spanner, shaped like a dog leg. or, you could take the wheel off.

...and rear mudflaps have a third bolt, underneath and around the back. Also needs a 10mm socket.
er, at least they do on my wagon!

yeah i removed the third bolt easily because there's unlimited room to move a spanner around it. 10mm socket? thanks :)
