Folks, after driving somewhere and when trying to reverse park, the car has lately started to play up when reverse is selected. It is as if it takes a mili second or so to engage reverse and as it does it revs up and jerks. I feel that if I'm not holding the brake pedal down firmly it might even move backwards quickly.

Is this a sign of an impeding transmission issue? Will a transmission flush help? Any other suggestions?

Car is a TF sports with 174k on the clock. Has been serviced on the dot every 7.5k as per the handbook. Transmission is triptronic.

sounds like it might want a change of transmission fluid.

if its flaring before picking the gear up it might be a sign that the transmission might be starting to let go - reverse is always the first to go.

tranny flush will prolly fix it i think :)
