Now i bought a pair of mbquart splits around 2 months ago... and then i screwed one of the tweeters up...

It had a faulty connection internally so i... disasembled it to fix it...

You would think id have learnt by now that i suck at anything electronic.. (my mates ps2 was sparking because of me...)

so now i have One front tweeter and one... broken one..

How do i replace it.. where do i get it from?

i heard you can pickup cheap front speakers from jaycar audio?? they would be bad quality though and wouldnt match up right with the left hand side??

I still have the old mbquart speaker but it seems.. well i dunno... it just wont work on any side (i have tested it..)

I Proper screwed it up by opening it i think...

so how do i replace just the one....?

Replace both tweeters with that of another brand if you can't source an MBquart one. Maybe even go for a silkdome tweeter because their metal ones sound very harsh.

When you pulled the tweeter apart didn't the ferrofluid run out?

ferro fluid!! what the hell is that!!

all i know its that its a two part system.. The top cover is the metalic like cup cover that fits into the magnet (the base) WHen i ripped it apart i dont remember any liquid.. only gasping going ooooh thats how it worked... then realising that ive just destroyed it..

Don't think those MB Quarts are ferrofluid cooled.
