if the buzz increases in tone with the RPM then its engine interference. ususally caused by poor earths or the battery not being able to fully supply the system with what it needs. ususally the standard battery in magnas can easly do a CD player and ususally one amp (depending on size) so thats should be ok, unless you battery is near the end of its rope. several things you can do. upgrade the earths, get an engine noise suppressor etc.

if its constant then could be dodge headunit or something.

Are they hooked up to a headunit or amp?

You may have fried it lol

im using a 4 channel amp to power the speakers but the buzzing is only comming from the right side tweeter so could the tweeter be stuffed

Could be, highly doubtful though.

It could be:
The amp itself
The xover of the splits
The xover running to close to a power cable
The earthing ( although doubtful since the rest are ok )

Is it possible to hook up another speaker to the tweeter output ( does not need to be a tweeter but a mid or tweeter )? If the replacement still hums, the tweeter is ok. If the replacement works fine, tweeter is cooked. However if it still hums...

Then I would try hooking up your mid straight to the amp ( not going through the xover, DON'T USE A TWEETER! ). This will tell you if it is coming from the amp... If it is still there, something is wrong with your amp... If it works ok out of the amp...

It will be your xover. First of all I would try moving it. If that doesn't get any better, swap the xovers over and see if the other one does the same thing. If it works fine, then your xover is faulty. :D

bingo, that would most likely be it...got a dodgey job from a car audio place that will remain anonymous and thats what it was/is (currently fixing it now) ended up having the rca's cable tied to the power line so im ripping it all out

cough cough certainly is :P lol...turned the gains right down, voltage right up (on amps) and told me the "minimal" engine noise was due to the lack of filters on the amps so hit me up to buy some. i then went home, stuffed with the gains cause the stereo was $%#@- poor loud for what it is, then turned the engine on and BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!! lol. ripped the bottom of the back seat up to see rca's cable tied to the power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! car was there for one week too!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

just for regards to my install, were they initially on the same side as the power cable?

You can run the RCA and power down the same side of the car so long as you keep them separated. This is obviously very hard, so that is why most people either run them on the opposite side or down the middle. You will notice that its ok to have a power and RCA be close for a small length but not the entire run.
