How the heck are you supposed to take one of these off in a late model Magna? The lever has changed since the TE... there are NO screws to undo! Don't make me get my hacksaw out... Grr...

i had a look at mah knob hehe

and there is a screw at the front of the stick near the middle to bottom...its a really little screw. you will probably have to take the button out first (watch it as you may snap the clips) iam unsure whether u have to take the button out...id say the tj's would have this screw too as not much has changed between the tj and th

hope this helps

Hmmmm.... Maybe I did overlook it.. I felt something, sorta... but I thought it was probably just an irregularity on the knob...

I'll go see if my knob can get screwed...

No... Frigid as anything... doesn't want to be screwed...

I'm still pretty confused...

Can't take the shift button out, can't find the clips, can't find the screws... Lost as anything, yet it seems like it should be something simple...

/me sighs

dunno if you can picture it... but there's what I think is going on in the stick... The tabs on the side appear to be metal, and I can't exactly pop it out from the surround.. Meh... I'll have a look tomorrow again I think... getting too tired...

[Edit: Ascii art sucks]

im 99% sure you have that tiny lil screw on the knob (facing toward the facia)....you may not need to take the button out as yet...undo the screw first. if you cant find it im sorry i cant help you cos id need to be looking at your knob hehehe
