hey again all,

well as the title suggests my magna has a strange problem and im stumped. a while back after getting heaps of work done at a body shop, my horn was fine but problem was as soon as i turned accessories on the lights came on :S well it stopped all of a sudden and i thought nothing of it until the horn went ghey. now, having time off uni and being in between jobs, ive finally taken the time to redo my stereo which was thrown in by a crappy anonymous audio place in newy. guess which one? lol

anyway, carpets out, seats are out etc etc ready to put in new carpet and redo the stereo, so i checked my fuse box while i was pulling the carpet out. all fine bar horn 10A fuse. luckily had some lying around, ripped the old one out and replaced it. now the problem has returned...accessories on, parkers automatically come on and cant be turned off :S im completely stumped about. anyone know???

as im between jobs and im buying a new decent head deck for the feroza (and the fact the magna has been retired to a sunday driver) i dont really want to take it to an auto electrian ($$$$$$$$$$$) just yet so if i can fix it, that would be awesome. cheers :D

all that summarised;

when accessories are engaged (key turned one click) my parkers automatically come on and my horn works perfectly (new fuse)(this being the 10 AMP fuse from the fuse box under steering wheel area)

remove/blow fuse:- problem fixed with the parkers, but horn does not work/seems very quiet/weak

EDIT: would it be a bad earth in the parkers connection on the headlight/bad earth for the horn, hence the oddity of this happening?? possibly the horn, as it only happens when the fuse is in, hence earthing out etc...but still has me why it would affect the parkers.

PS: sobering up now, half a box of coronas later my main objective of removing everything is half done :D...smoking = yuk :S

considering it has blown a fuse probably means there is an earth or shorting going on somewhere. Might wanna check out what the bodyshop people might have played with or bumped by accident.
