Im just looking for a door handle for my TR, mines completely gone. Over use i suppose. Has anyone else had this problem?

Anyway mines cracked and i cant even get out of the car anymore. So i need a new one, problem is i havent got alotta cash. So if someone has one lying around and wouldnt mind selling it for cheap please tell.
Also are these things hard to put on? Ive tried to get the door trim of before and failed.. If someone could also help with that it would be great.

I had that exact same problem about 2 weeks ago. the handle cracked and i could not get out. I ended up getting one from the wreckers for $16. give that a go.

mate your gonna be very hard pressed finding one at a wreckers let alone someone in here having a spare one. this is one of the most common problems for the tr/ts range. they are always breaking due to their age and wear and tear. as a band aid solution just swap it with your rear door. your best bet is gonna be a wreckers but good luck finding one thats not already broken and if you can get a colour match as well id be buying some lotto tickets asap.

Solution to RH driver's door handle unit. Remove the handle and lever, brace the two broken halves of the unit with an off cut of perforated strapping, screw through the strapping into the plastic with two small self tappers, making sure the lever and spring are not obstructed by the screws ( if they're too long cut off the ends of the screws with bolt cutters ), check that the return spring
is replaced and the lever moves freely. Replace the handle unit back into the door ( front or back ), and all should be as good as new; without having to buy a new inner door handle or source a new one from the wreckers.
